People Networking
It’s happening everywhere, all of the time; on the street, at the supermarket, in families, business and governments - sharing information, saying hello, seeking understanding and finding ways forward. Our people networks at Age UK West Sussex are all of that and a little more – they’re also about informing and shaping the future for older people and their communities.
Our Quarterly Network Meetings held in Chichester and Arun bring together people who have an interest in ageing, either professionally or personally, whether working or living retirement, shaping policies or providing services, running older people’s forums/groups or caring for elders.
We also have a network of local older people’s forums stretching across Midhurst. Bognor Regis, Littlehampton, Chichester, Worthing, Shoreham, Lancing and Southwick, meeting regularly to exchange views,(‘what makes successful ageing?’ ) take action on issues relevant to them and their community (from benches in Midhurst to exploring how to improve dignity on our hospital wards )and always, to make new friends and to make a difference.
At our larger Quarterly Network Meetings in autumn this year the theme will be around Independent Living and what is happening to health and wellbeing services in West Sussex.

Adur Senior Forum: February meetings
Southwick: Friday 17 February at Marsh House, Park Lane
Shoreham: Monday 20 February Cecil Norris House, Ravens Road
Lancing: Wednesday 22 February Courtfields, Elm Grove
All start at 10.30am and finish at mid-day.
Discussion items and action points for these meetings include winter warmth, an update on our ‘Dignity on the Ward’ initiative and Intergenerational links.
Worthing Senior Forum
Meet every second Wednesday of the month at
Methold House, North Street Worthing BN11 1DU at 3.00pm till 4.30pm

Bognor Senior Forum
The Group meets at the Age UK West Sussex Laburnum Activity Centre, Lyon Street, Bognor Regis, PO21 1UX meet the last Wednesday of the month.
