Would you like to meet people, learn new skills or share your skills with like minded people?

The Laburnum Centre is located in Lyon Street, Bognor Regis.

Activities

Activities are wide ranging from Line and Ball Room Dancing to various exercise classes, language classes, card games, darts, table tennis, computer classes and free internet access and much much more.

Services

Services on offer include a hairdressers, chiropody, manicurist, holistic practitioner as well as free information and advice.

Social Support Group

This group meets three days a week offering additional support to people who have lost confidence and independence to join social groups on their own. You are supported to join activities to suit you. If you are interested in this group talk to your Social worker. Alternatively contact the centre and talk to the manager.

Hot meal, snacks and refreshments

Hot meal, snacks and refreshments are provided. A hot meal is prepared daily within our well equipped kitchen and served at lunch time. Snacks and refreshments are available throughout the day.

Travel club

A Travel club is run by volunteers who organise trips as far a field as Portugal and Spain and day trips to various places. Breaks are organised throughout the year which may include a Christmas break.

Forums

Forums are held for members and volunteers where every one is given the opportunity to be involved in the development of the centre.

Membership

Membership is paid 6 monthly and is at a very reasonable rate – currently under the equivalent of £1 per week. Anyone finding it difficult to pay the full amount in one sum can arrange an alternate way to pay through the manager.

Not sure you want to commit to six months or only want to use the centre occasionally – come as a day visitor.

Can you help us?

Volunteering Opportunities are vast.  The centre relies on volunteer support who help run Reception, the Library, the Pop in and Kitchen as well as welcome people into the centre and run our activities.
